At the end of 2009 i decided even though as great as the Type-R was, it was time for a change. I fancied something which was designed more in the way of traditional sports car thinking. Mid engined rear wheel drive was in my mind and the MR2 seemed to be the only choice without spending over 12k which would get your a 996 Boxster. The MR2 cost £5499 which meant id be saving money compared to the Type-R. Unfortunately in my eagerness to drive the car after what seemed like a never ending snow fall, I took it up in the hills where ice laid on the road and all it took from there was a sunken grate to spin the car uncontrollably. The result was a dead MR2, at least I’m alive.
